The Top Five Perfumes I’m Wearing Right Now

Growing up, I would always see my mother spray her favorite scent (Calvin Klein’s Obsession!) prior to leaving the house for the day. My mother would be fully dressed to the nines, high heels, pearls, you name it. However, her outfit was not complete until that lovely scent of perfume was lacquered onto her dainty wrists and behind her ears. As soon as I heard the front door close and lock, I would race to my parent’s bedroom and run my fingers longingly over her prized bottles of perfume. I loved the way the bottles looked, how the fragrances tickled my nose, and how I could imagine myself wearing such luxury one day.

As a young girl and then teenager, I was always mesmerized over how people would stop my mother to ask her what scent she was wearing. Sometimes she would respond with a perfume by Estee Lauder, but more often than not, she would say “I’m wearing Obsession, by Calvin Klein.”

Looking back, these moments are ingrained into my mind. I truly believe that you can add a layer of elegance to any outfit so long as you have a beautiful scent attached. And just like my mother, I am unable to leave my house without my favorite fragrance spritzed across my outfit of the day.

If you’re anything like me, finding the perfect scent to fit your mood and personality can be a bit challenging. Don’t worry, I’ve got you. Here is a round up of the top five fragrances I’m wearing right now.

Tiffany & Co. Rose Gold Eau de Parfum

A top note of blackcurrant with hints of floral and citrus notes. The heart of this fragrance is blue rose, which is derived from a Japanese violet and rose. The Tiffany & Co. Rose Gold Eau de Parfum is an intoxicatingly sexy scent.

Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne

The base note for this spirited, earthy cologne is sage. The heart note of sea salt mixed with the top note of Ambrette seeds provides a scent of unparalleled sophistication.

YSL Libre Eau de Parfum

Notes of Lavender essence from France entwined with the mesmerizing sensuality of Moroccan orange blossoms give this fragrance a bold yet feminine scent. Mix in hints of vanilla and musk accord, this subtle scent will make the heads turn.

Louis Vuitton Coeur Battant

Coeur Battant roughly translates to “Beating Heart.” In this case, the scents of fresh pear, Egyptian jasmine, and ylang-ylang induce heart stopping opulence.

Replica By The Fireplace

Maison Margiela outstandingly replicates the warm scents of a crackling fireplace. This eau de toilette is composed of pink pepper, orange flower, and clove oil. The clove oil provides a hint of spiciness while also bringing out the middle notes of chestnut.
