Hola Mis Amigas! We spontaneously decided to take a short, four-day trip to Puerto Vallarta last week for our summer break. Puerto Vallarta is only about a three-hour flight from Los Angeles, making it the perfect getaway to kick off our summer.
We spent our days relaxing at the beautiful beaches like Playa Los Muertos and Conchas Chinas Beach, indulging in delicious treats, and exploring the vibrant city.
A Few Tips from Our Trip:
- Getting Around: We found Uber and taxis, along with walking, to be the best ways to get around Puerto Vallarta. They are convenient and easily accessible.
- Currency: We made sure to bring Pesos, the local currency in Puerto Vallarta. While some places accept USD, it’s not universal, and many restaurants do not accept credit or debit cards. Always carry some cash or Pesos with you.
- Comfortable Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes, even at night! I wore sneakers everywhere because many sidewalks and roads are uneven. To avoid injuries from cobblestones or glass, I switched to flip-flops only at the beach. Sneakers were my go-to for the rest of the trip.
We had an amazing time in Puerto Vallarta and these tips helped us enjoy our trip to the fullest. Whether you’re planning a quick escape or a longer stay, Puerto Vallarta is a fantastic destination that offers something for everyone.
